We listen to our Customers to provide a personalised service

Our Origins

Strokes of Perfection are a 100% family-owned and operated business based in Marion, Adelaide, South Australia, with over 30 years of experience painting and decorating. Before taking on his two sons, Max and Emmanuel, Steve Politis, proprietor of Strokes of Perfection, founded and established the business after many years working in the construction industry. As a qualified Builder, Project Manager, and Painter/Decorator, Steve holds vast industry experience and is a leader in the field of Painting and Decorating. Steve's experience has helped make Strokes of Perfection synonymous with high quality workmanship and attention to detail, whilst maintaining a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.

Workmanship

Making use of the newest paint technologies and industry standards, our painters take great care in their work. Adhering to strict quality assurance processes, our painters strive for excellence on every job.

Customer Satisfaction

Your satisfaction is our primary objective. We won't consider any job complete unless you're 100% happy with the finished product. We also carry out a post-painting inspection with our customers to ensure you are happy.

Each job is thoroughly prepared prior to painting to ensure that your furniture, belongings and floors are fully protected. Our painters carefully prepare and undercoat each space before applying two coats of high quality paint which is also environmentally friendly. In addition, we won't make a mess and leave you to clean up; our professionals will restore your space exactly how you like it. No exceptions.

Materials

Providing high quality architectural coatings results in a longer lasting and improved finish. Using industry leading materials guarantees the best possible results at an affordable price.

Our Painters

With a keen determination to absorb and grow on all of their father's skill, knowlege, and ethics, his two sons have grown to pride themselves on customer satisfaction and their ability to provide a perfect finish, and an all-around trouble-free, organized, and professional experience.

All of our painters and decorators are qualified and encouraged to keep their trade up-to-date. We also look to employ apprentices who, along with our qualified painters, will attend the latest industry training and seminars.

  • Dulux Accredited Painters offer a 5-Year Workmanship Warranty on residential jobs, guaranteeing no peeling, flaking, or blistering due to application faults, backed by quality Dulux paints and professional standards. This warranty is personal to the painter and customer, covers application/prep issues, and complements your rights under consumer law, providing peace of mind with a certified, insured, and vetted professional.

    Key Guarantees & Benefits:

    • 5-Year Workmanship Warranty: Your Dulux Accredited Painter provides their own warranty ensuring the coating system won't peel, flake, or blister for five years from faulty prep or application.

    • Quality Products: They commit to using premium Dulux paints, ensuring a high-quality, long-lasting finish.

    • Professional Standards: Painters are vetted, licensed, insured (public liability verified annually), and agree to Dulux's Charter of Values, focusing on integrity, client satisfaction, and excellence.

    • Benifits: This offers extra assurance beyond standard consumer rights, adding protection for your investment, complementing your statutory rights.

    What to Do:

    • Ask for it: Explicitly request to see the 5-Year Workmanship Warranty document when getting a quote.

    • Check the details: Understand the terms and conditions, as the warranty covers application/prep, not necessarily paint product failure (which has its own manufacturer warranty).

    What's Covered vs. Not Covered:

    • Covered: Blistering, peeling, or flaking due to the painter's application or surface prep.

    • Not Covered (Typically): Issues arising from normal wear and tear, damage, or conditions outside the painter's control (like extreme weather).

In essence, choosing a Dulux Accredited Painter means you get a professional service backed by Dulux's standards, their quality products, and a significant workmanship guarantee for your investment.
